Father’s Day Light-up Cards

2nd September, 2021

During the last week of August, the makerspace students were busy making a Light-Up Card to give to their father, grandfather or another positive male role model in their life. The process although simple is a little challenging and takes a bit of troubleshooting to make sure the circuit works.

The circuit is constructed using conductive copper foil, an LED and a battery. The circuit is then completed when the tie is pushed down. This is the “Switch” that lights up the LED.

After a few adjustments, it’s great to see the happy faces when their cards lights up.
