Origami is an ancient art form that has gained popularity all over the world in recent times. It’s a craft that involves folding paper into different shapes and designs, that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Recently, students in CRE8 Lab had the opportunity to learn how to fold origami pen stands in a relaxing and enjoyable workshop.

Some students opted for bright, bold colors, while others chose more muted, subtle tones. It was fascinating to see how each student’s unique personality and creativity came through in their designs.

In addition to being a fun and engaging activity, creating origami has several benefits. It improves fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and concentration. It’s also a great way to develop patience and perseverance as it can take some time to complete a complex origami design. Furthermore, origami is a peaceful and meditative activity that can help to reduce stress and anxiety.

The students had a fantastic time learning and creating, and they walked away with a new skill and a beautiful handmade pen stand. It was a testament to the power of art and creativity to bring people together and provide a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. We can’t wait to see what the students create next!
