It has been a while since my last post, the Cre8 Lab has been very busy and the students are excited to start their Cosplay Armour cuff and shoulder Armour. There has been a few finishing off their Sugar Skull Felties and we now have finished products to display.
All in all it was a great workshop and we had plenty of happy customers.

Another group of students have started on their Sugar Skulls this week, with a few still to finish from last week. The embroidery is proving to challenging. But the students are determined to create something beautiful.

We are well on our way with the Sugar Skulls, the students had fun choosing colours and decorations for their skulls. The hardest part was choosing which flower to use for the eye and which heart for the nose, so this took a bit of time.
All went well with the sewing of the electric circuit with conductive thread, and all the projects lit up when the battery was inserted into the battery breakout board with switch.
The more challenging part of the process is embroidering the face, and blanket stitching the three layers together. The students are doing very well, and some are trying different embroidery stitches to decorate the face.
Hi Lynette
Love reading your posts. Any chance of getting some printed instructions? Are there any texts that you would suggest purchasing?
Kind Regards,
