Term 4 Workshops, 2024
CRE8 Lab wrapped up the end of the year with some fun workshops. Check out what our students created below!
shrinky dink pins
Using special shrink plastic decorated with coloured pencils, students designed some fun kawaii-style wearable pins. They were amazed at how the plastic bends and curls as it shrinks before flattening out again.

sugar skull paperweights
Students unleashed their creative spooky sides by decorating rocks to resemble vibrant Sugar Skulls for Halloween. Adding a splash of colour and personality to their project, each unique design is not only a beautiful piece of art but also doubles as a functional paperweight! ๐

hanging birdfeeder
As part of our Eco Justice Week celebrations, CRE8 Lab students constructed birdfeeders from wooden popsicle sticks. These cute feeders can be hung in their gardens to attract local bird friends and give them a safe space to feed.

iris folded christmas card
Christmas has come early to CRE8 Lab!
For the final workshop of 2024, students learned how to iris fold – layering folded strips of paper in a swirling pattern similar to the iris of a camera lens. We used Christmas printed paper and bows to transform our simple rectangle shapes into cute presents for the front of a Christmas Card.

We can’t wait to see what CRE8TIONS will be made in 2025!
