Term 4, 2022
In Cre8 Lab, we always try to reuse materials as best we can.
The students saved clean tin cans from their rubbish bins to give them new life as luminaries. Punching holes in the tins to create patterns, the girls also learned valuable skills such as using hammers and discovering which parts of the cans were the weakest. (Hint: those that have ridges were considerably stronger than the smooth kind).
Lit with a battery-operated tealight candle, these cans destined for the scrap heap are now beautiful decorations ready to be enjoyed during the festive season!
